Secondly, the four knights were responsible because, with a sword they killed and cut backet. Lastly, Thomas Becket himself was to blame because he didn’t do all the things the king said to do
Overall, the most responsibility for the murder should be taken by the people, because he had the absolute power, was the representatibe of god on earth and because he was one of the most reconized people in the cauntry.

Firstly, King Henry II was involved in the death because he shouted “Who will rid me of this troublesome priest?” With that he kind of asked someone to kill Thomas Becket.
Secondly, the four knights were responsable because they killed Thomas Becket without the king´s permission.
Lastly, Thomas Becket himself was to blame because he didn´t obey the king and he also challenged him.
Overall, the most responsibility for the murder should be taken by the four knights because they did not ask the king if they could killed Thomas Becket. I also think that the king did not have the most responsibility because he never said that he wanted to kill him he just hated him. If he wanted to kill him he would had done it himself.

  18. Santiago Ortiz Pando says:

Firstly, king Henry II was involved in the death because He said, ‘Who will rid me of this troublesome priest?’ Surely that could only mean he wanted Becket dead and He also never punished the knights for the murder.

Secondly, the four knights were responsible because They were the ones who actually killed him and No one told them to kill Becket They decided to do it themselves.

Lastly, Thomas Becket himself was to blame because Becket betrayed the King several
times. He promised Henry that he would help him get rid of Church courts, but he did not and Becket knew his old friend King Henry II very well. He knew that if he kept betraying him he would eventually be punished.

Overall, the most responsibility for the murder should be taken by Henry II because He accepted his part in the death and allowed himself to be whipped by monks in Canterbury Cathedral. He also allowed Church courts to continue, out of respect for Becket. I also think his anger controlled him and he sent the 4 knights to kill Becket.
